May Procession

May is the month of Our Mother Mary. To show our devotion to Our Lady and honour her and mothers everywhere, St Joseph’s held a May Procession. Our statue of Mary was crowned with a garland of flowers whilst we sang the hymn ‘Bring Flowers of the Rarest’.

A prayer service followed, led by Father Peter and Deacon Garry who spoke about the importance of Mary in our faith. We united to pray a decade of the rosary and to say the Litany of the Blessed Virgin.  Following this, everyone laid a spring flower at the feet of Our Lady whilst we sang the beautiful hymn ‘Ave Maria’.
Our pupils were impeccably behaved and respectful in every way. It was such a joyful and moving act of worship.

We would like to say thank you to all the parents and pupils for the flowers you gave for this special occasion. Thank you to Mrs Goh for arranging the beautiful crown and wreath for Our Lady. We would also like to express our thanks to Father Peter and Deacon Garry for such a wonderful prayer service and giving the children a rosary each. Their kindness and generosity is very much appreciated.
