  • Friday 24 June 2022 Summer Fair
  • Friday 27 May 2022 Jubilee Celebrations To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the reign of Her Majesty,Queen ElizabethII,the week before half term ended in a magnificent Royal Jubilee Party. All the children dressed up inoutfits celebrating the different decades and we even had some Royal Visitors!The Queen of England delighted in marble playing, dancing in the 70’s and designing a new crown for her majesty. The day ended in a splendid ‘High Tea’ and much royal waving took place.
  • Friday 20 May 2022 May Procession The month of May is dedicated to Our Lady, Mary. To mark this,on Friday 2th, we held our annual May Procession. It went from the school to the church led by Fr Peter, Deacon Garry, Deacon Mark, our altar servers and our faith leaders. Each child placed a flower or plant in front of the statue of Mary in her honour. Prayers followed including the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a decade of the rosary. It culminated with the crowning of Mary with a garland of flowers.Pupils sang songs including ‘Ave Maria’ and ‘Hail Mary’ using British sign language. It was a reverent and moving act of worship.
  • Friday 6 May 2022 The Tiger Who Came to Tea On Thursday 5th Year 1 went to see 'The Tiger who came to Tea' at the Churchill Theatre. They watched a wonderful performance of the book which had lots of audience participation. This is what Year said when asked about their favouritepart:
  • Thursday 5 May 2022 Visit from the Breck Foundation Thank you to the Breck Foundation who have talked to Year 1-6 about ways to behave safely online and ways of dealing with online friends and strangers. https://www.breckfoundation.org/about-us
  • Saturday 2 April 2022 Egg Mobiles Well done also to year 5 and 6 for such amazing Egg Mobiles. We had so much fun racing them. They were all fantastic, congratulations to you all!
  • Friday 1 April 2022 Eggoramas We were overwhelmed by the amazing creations this year for the Eggoramas, the competition was of a very high standard. The theme ‘miracles’seemed to be a great hit. We had Jesus walking on water, The feeding of the 5000, The Resurrection, Jesus healing the lame and even a revolving Eggorama of Jesus Healing the Blind Man!

  • Friday 4 March 2022 World Book Day We all had a fantastic World Book Day! It began with an assembly, followed by a book swap then each class recommended their favourite books.
  • Monday 28 February 2022 Walk for CAFOD This week our children will be taking part in a sponsored walk/run for CAFOD. By taking part in this event, they will be supporting the Lenten 2022 Appeal ‘Walk Against Hunger’ to raise money for those living in poverty. Around the world, 200 million children are at risk of malnutrition. Your donations could help in the following ways:
  • Friday 11 February 2022 Odd Socks Day Thank you to all of those who contributed towards our “Odd Socks Day” to raise money for the charity Place2Be. We have raised £109.02 so far!
  • Wednesday 2 February 2022 Chinese New Year On Tuesday 1 February, reception class, year 1 and year 2 had great fun celebrating Chinese New Year. They ate noodles, made lanterns, wrote Chinese numbers and ended the day with an outdoor dragon dance -what a lot of fun!
  • Tuesday 4 January 2022 Primary School Admissions Applications for primary school places starting September 2022 should be made now for three and four year old children born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018.The application deadline isSaturday 15 January 2022.

  • Saturday 6 November 2021 What a Performance! On Friday 5th November the year 6 boys had their first two football games of the season, which were certainlyworth the wait. The boys performed tremendouslywell and made us all very proud. I'm sure the parents and carers would agree that the degree of team workwas truly remarkable and the communication between team players is what led them to play so well . Thank you parentsfor your support, it was an absolute pleasure taking the children. A BIG shout out to Kian and Daniel who both scored goals for us :)Miss Kivanc
  • Wednesday 16 June 2021 Enterprise Days! At St Joseph’s we are looking to raise money to help towards building a new larger school hall within the grounds to give the children more facilities and opportunities. We are aiming to raise a significant amount of money towards this so are putting together some fund raising initiatives.
  • Friday 28 May 2021 May Procession May is the month of Our Mother Mary. To show our devotion to Our Lady and honour her and mothers everywhere, St Joseph’s held a May Procession. Our statue of Mary was crowned with a garland of flowers whilst we sang the hymn ‘Bring Flowers of the Rarest’.
  • Thursday 22 April 2021 Stephen Lawrence Day On 22nd April, in line with many others across the country, we remembered Stephen Lawrence and all those who have sadly been persecuted because of the colour of their skin. Year 6 placed some butterflies in our peace garden as a symbol, to remind us to always be kind and loving to others.
  • Thursday 11 February 2021 Safer Internet Day On Tuesday 9th we celebrated Safer Internet Day.  This year's theme was ‘reliability’. Through stories, quizzes and activities we explored the question ‘Can we trust everything we see on the internet? ’ 
  • Wednesday 3 February 2021 Year 6 Artwork This term Year 6 have created some lovely art work this year. In this selection they have:  - Produced rainforest themed pictures based on the centuries-old art form of paper quilling.  - Looked at Mondrian's work on primary colours and designed stained glass windows (using three colours of their choice along with black and white).  - Made winter scenes with tissue paper pine trees and set these against a watercolour background.  - Created bold black and white designs punctuated with vibrant colours to create optical illusions.  - Learned about tints and shades, pasting silhouettes of animals and birds on to their backgrounds.
  • Thursday 21 January 2021 Prayer, Mass and Assembly Thank you to Deacon Garry and Father Peter who have recorded our mass and assemblies! They can be accessed on the Parish website at www.stjosephsbromley.org. This week’s assembly on Peace Sunday can be viewed here . 
  • Tuesday 12 January 2021 Year 6 Online Workshop with the Met Police Year 6 had a really enjoyable presentation from the Met Police on Tuesday about online safety.  This demonstrated that even though we are at home we can still bring an enriched curriculum to all our children!
  • Wednesday 18 November 2020 Friendship As this week is Anti-Bullying week Year 1 have had lots of ideas about the qualities of a good friend.

  • Friday 23 October 2020 Forest School Our children have really been enjoying Forest School this year. So far taking part in activities including mini beast hunts, exploring the flower beds, digging and weeding and creating "nature" art work! They have also learnt some new rules such as "no pick, no lick"!
